We arrived on 17th Feb at 12:10am this morning after a very long flight. The flight from London was spent sleeping mostly. We landed in London at 7pm and our flight to Iceland was at 9pm, so we were lucky it wasn't very crowded, we had to check out, pick up our luggage then check back in! The London airport had policemen wielding machine guns. Too much "security", methinks...
Anyway, after an hour or so we arrived at our hotel, called the Hotel Klopp. The taxi fare cost a bomb, 12340 ISK, which is about 107 AUD. That's for 38 kms of travel! There's no other transport at that hour so we had to get a taxi.
Eventually we didn't get to sleep till 1:30am.
